We would like to encourage more people to play bowls and are offering gift vouchers for membership. A gift voucher will include 2 months membership, all equipment and coaching. This can be redeemed from the start of the season from mid March through to August.
In September we held our club competition final’s day which was very well supported. Refreshments and lunch was made by Sue and Pauline and greatly enjoyed by our members. A raffle and preserves were run by Pauline which helped raise funds for our club.
In May we held the Vic Lloyd Round Robin and unveiling of his bench with some drinks and nibbles. It was lovely to see so many friends, old and new, and to pay our respects to a valued member of our bowls club. RIP Vic.
In 2020 we had great support from our members who refurbished our facilities and worked on the surrounding gardens. Bowls at Bardsey continued throughout most of the lockdown including weekly coaching sessions. The green will reopen for play in March 2021 and we look forward to seeing you bowling in the sunshine.
In November 2019 we had a great fun and games evening. Thanks to our members who organised and attended our recent social. We were treated to a variety of games, a raffle, quiz and plenty of laughter. Many thanks to ‘The Village Bar’ who supported us supplying drinks and this helped us raise more money to carry out essential work at Bardsey Bowling Club to improve the facilities and the green.
Really pleased to see we have a Bowls club sign fitted on the A58 and at Bardsey church to help people find us. This will help raise the profile of the Bowls club within the village and encourage locals to come along to our club.
In August 2019 we had our club final’s day where each of the club competitions was played, well done to all those that took part.
Tennis and Bowls Open Day

Bardsey Mixed Pairs Competition
We ran our first external competition in May 2019 which was very successful, here are a few photos from the day.
